Interprets clinical data and notifies the physician promptly if immediate changes in management are indicated. Participates in interdisciplinary patient care rounds by presenting findings on patients as it relates to admission/discharge, and groups on disease specific topics Applies principles of infection control and safety. Prepares bedside units for new admissions (e.g., stocks with bedpan, tissues, water, cups). Apply principles of infection control and safety in the work environment. Reports significant unit problems to charge nurse. Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Promotes adherence to the Patient's Bill of Rights. Customer Service: respect, flexibility, knowledge, confidence, professionalism, pleasant attitude, patience and helpfulness.
