Job Description: We are in search of a highly skilled and compassionate Neurology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our private practice situated in the vibrant Bronx, New York. As a dedicated member of our team, you will collaborate closely with physicians, contributing to the delivery of comprehensive neurological care to our patients. Your responsibilities will encompass assessing, diagnosing, and managing a spectrum of neurological conditions, all while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration for optimal patient outcomes. **Responsibilities:** - Conduct thorough patient assessments, encompassing medical history reviews, physical examinations, and detailed neurological evaluations. - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including MRI, CT scans, EEG, or nerve conduction studies, to aid in precise diagnosis and treatment planning. - Formulate and execute evidence-based treatment plans for various neurological conditions such as epilepsy, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, and neuropathies. - Prescribe medications, perform procedures, and administer treatments in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. - Educate patients and families on their condition, treatment options, and preventive measures. - Monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure effective symptom management and disease control. - Collaborate with healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate interdisciplinary treatment approaches. - Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health record (EHR) systems. **Qualifications:** - Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) license and certification in the state of New York. - Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization in Neurology or a relevant field. - Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) preferred. - Previous experience as a Nurse Practitioner in Neurology or a related field strongly desired. - In-depth knowledge of neurological conditions, diagnostic techniques, treatment modalities, and commonly used medications. - Proficiency in performing neurological examinations, interpreting diagnostic tests, and formulating treatment plans. - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team. - Strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and the capability to work independently. **We Offer:** - Competitive compensation. - Supportive work environment. - Opportunities for professional growth and development. **Job Details:** - Type: Full-time - Salary: $150,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year - Benefits: 401(k), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Paid time off **Additional Information:** - Medical Specialties: Neurology - Standard Shift: Day shift - Weekly Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5x8 - Work Setting: In-person, Outpatient, Private practice - Ability to Commute/Relocate: Bronx, NY 10466 - Relocation or reliable commuting required **Application Questions:** - Do you have experience in Neurology? **License/Certification:** - Certified Nurse Practitioner (Required) **Work Location:** - In-person
