This Staff Nurse II position supports our outpatient, pediatric multi-specialty clinics. This position provides specialized patient care and education for patients receiving treatments, examinations, etc., in a medical office according to established procedures. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities: Performs and documents assessment of the patient/family (biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, spiritual and environmental); collects and analyzes data from the medical record in order to coordinate patient care. Directs and/or provides patient care, which may include administering medication, performing procedures and monitoring patient status in accordance with approved nursing practice. Provides appropriate counsel and education to patients/family regarding disease process and symptom management. Maintains medical records requiring appropriate and timely recording of patient information. Consults with members of the health care team, adjusting nursing care processes as indicated to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Demonstrates cost-effective work habits by setting priorities and properly managing supplies and equipment.
