The Medical Assistant III serves as a senior-level medical assistant, providing advanced clinical and administrative support in a high-volume clinical setting. Essential Job Functions Provide advanced clinical support to medical and behavioral health providers, including complex procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, EKGs, spirometry, and diabetic foot checks. Administer medications and injections (IM, SC) in accordance with clinic protocols. Mentor and serve as a preceptor for newly hired and junior medical assistants, assisting in training and competency assessments. Coordinate patient care activities including follow-ups, appointment scheduling, lab processing, and care transitions. Facilitate team huddles and contribute to interdisciplinary meetings to enhance collaboration. Support providers by assisting with medical scribing and accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Qualifications Summary Minimum of three (3) years of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in a high-volume clinic or community health setting Prior experience in ambulatory, public, community, mental health, emergency, or critical care preferred.
