Schedule: PRN as needed to cover PTO Clinic Hours: Monday - Thursday 6:00a - 4:30p What You’ll Do Assesses patient care needs, conducts nursing evaluations, and provides treatment within scope of practice Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare practitioners for further medical evaluation and care as needed Performs and documents medical tests, screenings, and treatments as defined in site contract (EKG, audiometry, spirometry, vision) Administers medications and emergency care within legal scope of practice Maintains medical equipment, ensures a clean and safe environment, and follows infection control procedures Maintains patient health records to ensure accurate and up-to-date records Educates patients on health promotion and participates in follow-up care Performs other duties as assigned What You’ll Bring Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or associate degree (A.S.) is required; Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required Current certification with hands-on training in AHA, ARC or equivalent Basic Life Support for health care providers is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN/COHN-S), Emergency Nursing, or Case Management preferred and may be required for some sites At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic Work-life balance is at the foundation of how decisions are made and where Premise is headed. Responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of clerical duties and direct patient care activities, depending on the need of the unit. The performance of these tasks in an efficient and timely manner is essential to enhance the care team's ability to provide quality care. Meets the qualifications to provide care for patients in the specific age range in their assigned clinical area. ​Provides patient care as directed, within the nursing assistant scope of practice, in meeting the multidisciplinary care plan established for each patient. Identifies, observes, and documents the physical needs of the patient according to established standards. Reports ant changes in patient condition to licensed personnel in a timely manner. Stationery items as well as floor stock, patient needs, individual nursing supplies. Communicates with food services to ensure appropriate patient diets. Operates, problem solves, and takes corrective measures for clerical equipment. To include scheduling maintenance of computers, fax machines, phones, etc. Staff have access to non-controlled medications storage and supply areas and can transport non-controlled medications as necessary to meet the needs of the clinic or unit. Assists with transporting non-controlled medications to and from Pharmacy and within the unit as needed. Assists with transporting blood products to and from Blood Bank as needed. Obtains and documents, using the rooming tool in the electronic medical record, the patient’s reason for visit, weight, vital signs, visit screening information, medication review, and pertinent information for provider. Assess physical, psychological, and social dimensions of patients; obtain health history and provide a written assessment of patients upon admission.
