Overview Job Title: Nurse Practitioner Hospitalist – Gastroenterology 100% Inpatient Location: Gastropark Ridge, Illinois Organization: Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group Hospital: Resurrection Medical Center Job Type: Full-Time Position Overview: Prime Healthcare Illinois Medical Group is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our growing Gastroenterology (GI) team at Gastropark Ridge . The ideal candidate will support our board-certified gastroenterologists in providing high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide range of digestive health conditions. This role is 100% inpatient. Location: Gastropark Ridge offers a welcoming environment with modern facilities, convenient access to major highways, and a diverse patient population. Responsibilities • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and medical histories on GI patients in the hospital • Call responsibility involved- to be discussed during interview• Order and interpret diagnostic tests related to gastrointestinal conditions.• Manage chronic GI disorders such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and more.• Collaborate closely with GI physicians in outpatient and inpatient settings.• Perform follow-up care and education for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.• Provide pre- and post-procedural counseling and medication management.• Document patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR system. Qualifications • Current and valid Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Illinois.• Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) or Adult-Gerontology NP.• Minimum of 1–2 years of NP experience, preferably in a GI or internal medicine setting.• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient education skills.• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment. This role will support sites experiencing temporary provider absences, leaves, or urgent staffing needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of long-term care (LTC) dynamics and be able to integrate quickly into new environments while maintaining high standards of care. Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills are essential for establishing rapport with facility leadership and interdisciplinary team members. Additional responsibilities may include training new providers and assisting in the onboarding of new facility accounts prior to a permanent Trio provider starting. Position Details: Salary: $140,000 – $150,000 Travel: Required; must be comfortable traveling to various facilities as needed Productivity Expectation: Maintain an average of 12 patients per day when onsite $140,000 - $150,000 / year
