Primary Responsibilities Performs various administrative and clinical duties under direction of administration and/or clinician. Assists patients as necessary with walking, transferring, dressing, collecting specimens and preparing for exams. Utilizes electronic health records system to collect pertinent patient history consistent with organizational guidelines. Performs screening consistent with provider guidelines, Takes vital Prepares and administers medications, including intramuscular, intradermal, and subcutaneous injections as directed by provider. Transmits prescription refills as directed Communicates appropriately and clearly with patients, co-workers, and management. Prepares charts for provider to include obtaining results of studies such as labs, imaging, etc. prior to visit Assists in completion of forms in preparation of provider review and signature Schedules appointments/procedures and answers calls/message in a timely basis Arranges hospital admissions and laboratory services as needed Monthly/Weekly/Annual inspection and testing of equipment used in clinic. Maintains effective communication with the patient and provides an explanation of procedures within the scope of practice. Ensures physician order for the procedure is entered accurately. Consults appropriate resources to clarify orders and deemed necessary. Education and Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent. Provides physical comfort for patient to include decreased noise level. Ensures all supplies are sterile. Opens supplies and instruments using aseptic technique. Responsible for counting of instruments, sponges, sharps, etc. Responsible for gowning and gloving of surgeons and assistants. Identifies/marks/communicates equipment in need of repair. Takes down the operative field. Cleans of instruments. Removes/disposes soiled gowns/gloves. Acting as a point of contact for nursing staff, physicians, and hospital administration. As a charge nurse, you will manage a shift of nurses in your unit. Charge nurses assist the leaders with creating work schedules, oversee admissions and discharges, and help maintain the overall quality of care in the units. Base rate is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience. This position will receive a base rate + charge differential of $4.00 an hour and shift differential.
