Overview The SOC (Start of Care) Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive nursing assessments and initiating home care services for patients transitioning into care. Description The Nursing Attendant is an individual who functions in a support role to the Registered Professional Nurse by providing direct patient care and related activities as assigned. Demonstrates proficiency in use of the following equipment to include but not limited to: blood pressure cuff, feeding pumps, ear thermometer, suction machine, glucometer, weight scales, fire extinguisher, call bell system, oxygen concentrator/tank, and hoyer lift. Follows all established Policies & Procedures of The Wartburg. Performs all other duties deemed necessary by the DON/designee. Qualifications: Experience Preferably 2 years experience in Long-Term care. Education Graduate of an accredited school of nursing Current NYS LPN licensure Current CPR certification
