Overview Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager, Critical care Nurses provide direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the application of scientific nursing principles. Have knowledge of all vasoactive Drugs such as Vasopressors, Inotropes, Catecholamine, and Adrenergic. Calculate and administer according to the guideline. Monitors and adjusts specialized equipment used on patients, and interprets and records electronic displays, such as intracranial pressures, arterial line pressures, central venous pressures, pulmonary artery pressures, Balloon Pump, Hypo/Hyperthermia machine, CVVHD, Peritoneal Dialysis. Initiates patient education plan, as prescribed by physician. Teach patients and significant others how to manage their illness/injury, by explaining: post-treatment home care needs, diet/nutrition/exercise programs, self-administration of medication and rehabilitation. Demonstrates efforts in the prevention of hospital acquired conditions (HAC) CAUTI, CLABSI, Pressure injuries and Falls. Records all patients’ medical information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms. Prepares equipment and assists physician during examination and treatment/procedures of patient at the bedside. Participates in the formulation, review and or revision of departmental policies. What You'll Be Doing The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the delivery of care. Position Summary (CMA) Under the direction of the physician, Charge RN or Manager performs direct clinical activities in a courteous, caring and respectful manner. These include patient intake, blood draw, pharmacy calls, EKG and any tests required by the physician. Responsible for accurately documenting in an EMR system in accordance with licensure and VMG policy and procedures. Maintains close working relationships with all practice staff to ensure proper workflow, care and treatment. o (BA) Performs a variety of essential front desk activities that include greeting, registering, ensuring insurance compliance and collecting appropriate payment at time of service.
