Six months experience in health or human services work such as applying theories, principles, laws and practices of health or human services programs and services that assist with and improve life for individuals, families, or communities such as financial support, employment, unemployment, housing, health care, disease prevention, substance abuse, child protective services, physical/mental health treatment and prevention or rehabilitation. Six months experience in interpreting laws, rules, regulations, standards, policies, and procedures. Six months experience in making recommendations as part of a clients service plan such as clinical treatment, counseling, or determining eligibility for health or human services/benefits. Six months experience in narrative report writing. Knowledge of staff supervision acquired through course work, academic training, training provided through an employer, or performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others; OR supervising staff which may include planning, assigning, reviewing, and evaluating the work of others; OR supervising through subordinate supervisors a group of professional, technical, and clerical employees. Immediately report any observed changes in condition or behavior of patients and documents any care given in an acceptable medical legal fashion. Immediately reports any unusual incidents. Ensure compliance with Joint Commission regulations and other safety requirements; this includes disposal of used sharps and contaminated materials, as well as, safe storage of medications. Re-order supplies as required and within budgetary limitations. Maintain work station cleanliness and restock linen and supplies to exam rooms; provides general cleaning, including emptying trash, straightening waiting area, etc. Washes and changes stretcher or exam table linen and empties dirty laundry.
