Overview: In collaboration with patients, families (as defined by the patient) and staff across all disciplines and departments is responsible for performing selected clinical duties including administrative/clerical duties, basic patient care and/or performing administrative tasks associated with patient intake. Position Summary Responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the facility to meet the physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitative needs of the residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities · Administers enteral feedings along with oral, injectable, and intravenous medications and treatments within the LVN scope of practice as prescribed by the physician and per facility policy · Ensures all aspects of delivery of care to residents by nursing assistants are completed within the established time frames according to Resident Care policies and procedures · Performs and is co-responsible for narcotic counts as per Resident Care policies and procedures · Ensures dispensing of medications and treatments by all routes as ordered by the physician within established time frames. Ensures no medications are left unattended · Documents medication and treatment administration in a timely and accurate manner · Completes/updates the Electronic documentation as required · Maintains and updates Nursing license in compliance with state regulations · Performs other related duties as required or requested Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) · College degree or the equivalent in work related experience · Must be graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing · Must have active state RN license · Must be listed in good standing as confirmed on Nurse Registry · Strong knowledge of state, federal, and local regulations as they pertain to long term care is strongly preferred · Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing in English Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
