The Registered Nurse serves as a care consultant and provider for patients with various wound care needs and ostomy management. This role is accountable for collaborating with the health care team to define and communicate the expected patterns of care for our patient population in an effort to improve patient outcomes. The Registered Nurse also serves as a resource, leader, educator and role model for wound and ostomy management within our facility. Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Ambulatory care responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a. Conduct outpatient independent cardiology follow up and new patient clinics and reports progress to a supervising physician. b. Establish treatment plans for a wide range of cardiac problems and educates patients on diagnoses and treatment plans. c. Orders and schedules laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
