Description UNC Medical Center is hiring New Grad Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery Unit team! This is a 36 hour/week position, day/night and weekend rotating, with flexible preferred scheduling. This position qualifies for an extensive benefit package. The Birthplace Technician coordinates the surgical scrub duties to care for patients in the Birthplace unit. Working under close supervision, this role supports the surgical team through routine work related to managing equipment and spaces, performing routine checks, and documenting patient information. UNC Hillsborough Hospital is a 160-bed community hospital with a robust surgical program, featuring 8 operating rooms (including 2 robotic ORs) and 3 procedural suites. Our perioperative services include 16 Preop roomettes, 12 PACU Phase I bays, 6 Phase II bays on the main campus, and 8 prep/hold bays in our Medical Office Building to support procedural care. We provide comprehensive surgical care across multiple specialties, including an Orthopedic Center of Excellence for Total Joints, Sports Orthopedics, Foot & Ankle, Ortho & Neuro Spine, general surgery, urology, gynecology, ophthalmology, and gastroenterology. The scheduled hours for this position will be 5:00 PM - 11:00 PM with on-call coverage 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM. If additional support is needed overnight, there will be a backup on-call from 9:00 PM - 7:00 AM. Summary: Provides competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
