Description Kindred Hospital Melbourne and Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU) is 58-bed hospital offering the same in depth care you would receive in a traditional hospital, but for an extended recovery period. With 47 long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital beds, we partner with your physician and offer 24-hour clinical care seven days a week so you can start your journey to wellness. Similarly, our 11-bed ARU is designed for people who have experienced the debilitating effects of an acute injury, impairment or illness. Job Summary Assists professional nursing personnel in providing patient care in assigned area. Assists patients with activities of daily living, provides for personal care, emotional support and performs more complex clinical skills under the direction of professional nursing personnel. PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES Perform a variety of duties in an operating room observing proper techniques to include preparing rooms with appropriate instruments, sutures, supplies, and equipment; open sterile supplies and arrange sterile setups for operations. Create, maintain, and terminate sterile field for surgical procedures. Properly handle and care for all instruments and equipment.
