Relays laboratory or imaging results to the surgeon and collaborates directly with physicians to accurately track and document all sponges, needles, and instruments. Executes and interprets waived (point-of-care) clinical laboratory tests according to standard hospital protocols, initiating appropriate action based on the results. Tailors nursing techniques across all lifespans—from neonates to geriatrics—safely administering medications, providing family education, and managing emergency or distressed situations.
