Perform point of care testing such as: strep, mono, glucose, influenza, Urine pregnancy, Urinalysis, blood glucose levels. Dispense and document medications and other treatment modalities. Insure sterile technique, instrument cleaning and sterilization, proper use of the autoclave. Schedule and coordinate necessary records for ancillary care for patients. Assist providers with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye irrigations and ear irrigations, I & D’s and splinting/ ortho-glass preparation Perform occupational medicine testing such as: urine drug screens, breath alcohol testing, audiogram, and DOT physicals Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA). Ensures equipment is in working order. Reports equipment malfunctions to manager. Logs laboratory procedures completed. Processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directed. Responsible for patient call backs, scheduling physician referrals; specialist’s referrals and pharmacy issues; and patient’s education. Maintains examination rooms, sterilization of equipment and stocks necessary medical supplies. Performs duties to ensure good patient flow. Registration duties: explain to patients' accepted insurances and those out of network and knowledgeable of all pricing. Properly collect and record payments, complete registration screen in a timely manner. Travel to care centers within designated region Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal information Cleans and stocks the site with other members of the team Training other team members. Job Description: The Nursing Assistant assists in the treatment and care of the patient under the direction of a Staff RN. Provides personal care that includes bathing, feeding, skin and mouth care and changing bed lines. Collects, documents, and reports vital signs such as: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, height and weight. Empties patient drainage containers and maintains accurate intake and output records. Assists with pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative care which includes, positioning, lifting and turning. Reports changes observed in condition or behavior of patient. Assists with treatment procedures. Assists in maintaining supplies and reports malfunctioning equipment. Remains compliant with HIPAA, maintains professionalism and ensures confidentiality of patient information. Job Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent preferred. STNA preferred. CPR/When Seconds Count/HOPE within the first six months of employment. Nursing assistant experience preferred. Must be able to physically exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
