Purpose and Scope: Ensures that the health needs of students are met, service delivery is monitored and evaluated, and adequate communication is provided to others participating in the care of the students. Essential Job Functions: Administers first aid to staff/ students, medication and specialized medical treatments. Conducts comprehensive health assessments of the child in relation to the school setting. Assists with mandated screenings (e.g. vision, dental, hearing, etc.). The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, and unit level.
