The Registered Nurse (RN) Dialysis Nurse is responsible and accountable for providing dialysis (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT) for acute inpatients, in accordance with MD orders, hospital policy, and CMS guidelines. Dialysis Registered Nurse will monitor patients during dialysis, assess any emergent changes in condition and communicate with the patient, primary RN, and MD. The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and within the scope of practice established by California law, organizational policies, and delegated clinical responsibilities. DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State (Float Pool Medical Assistants Only) High School Diploma or GED Other Graduation certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program 6 months Experience performing front and back medical office functions. Clinical externship experience completed as part of an accredited Medical Assistant program will be considered qualifying experience when verified through official program documentation. 5 years Experience required in circumstances of a practice acquisition. A competency validation must be completed by a PIH Health supervising physician whose practice we are acquiring. Preferred Qualifications 2 years Experience performing front and back medical office functions in an ambulatory or physician practice setting.
