Runs errands, directs visitors, and answers telephone as needed. Maintains accurate documentation in nurses’ notes and electronic medical records (EMR). Uses computer programs and IPAD’s. Enters Resident and Team Member information into the electronic data base. Responsible for completing Resident Event Reports, Post Exposure Event Reports and Team Member Incident Review Process (IRP) reports. Assists in training and orientation of new Team Members in the Resident Nursing Department. Responsible to function as a Concierge when coverage is needed. Participates in department improvement which includes Corporate and department annual goals. Attends scheduled nursing meetings and training/competency sessions. Job Summary Medical assistant (MA) is positioned within the workforce to gather, screen, communicate and act based on delegation from a provider, registered nurse or Licensed Practical nurse as per scope of practice. The MA performs a combination of clerical and direct patient care duties. Clerical responsibilities include greeting patients, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and updating patients electronic medical record (EMR).
