We are a growing department as we grow with our community in Southern Wake County and surrounding areas. We provide couplet care for 3 couplets in a Level II Birthing Center, performing assessment's, evaluating educational needs and support throughout the mother and baby's stay. We provide postop care for GYN surgical patients who have had minor GYN surgeries including assessment, wound care and postop education and support. Stable antepartums may need bedrest and further evaluation and follow up non-stress tests. Our 5 Bed Tower also houses a 2-bed level II newborn nursery that our neonatal nurses care for with the support of Women’s team. We care not only for normal newborns but also neonates who may require Level II nursery care, stabilization and greater than 35 weeks.
