Position Summary: The primary function of the Assistant Director of Nursing is to assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, developing, managing, and directing the day-to-day functions of the SNF Nursing Service Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations that govern the facility. The Assistant Director of Nursing will work alongside the Director of Nursing with the Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality of care is maintained for each resident at all times. Follows all health, sanitary and infection control policies and maintains established standards of practice set forth by the facility's administration and Nursing Policies and Procedures. Education/Qualifications: Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a RN within the state in which you work or licensed as an LPN if the state you operate in allows. Minimum two (2) years of experience in a supervisory role in a hospital, nursing facility or other related healthcare facility, preferably in long term care. Must possess basic computer skills and ability to navigate through various software programs, including electronic health record software. Current License or Certification: License and DEA must be active, in good standing, and verifiable with the proper regulatory agency. DEA required for all providers; however, where limited by years of practice under state law, DEA will be required within 120 days of provider meeting the minimum years of practice under state law for obtaining DEA. Providers must be able to treat all ages and must meet any credentialing requirements needed; and DOT certification is required to be obtained by FT and PT Providers within 120 days of employment and maintained during employment.
