Responsibilities The Registered Nurse is responsible for professional nursing care and related assistance to patients on an assigned unit. The staff nurse provides direction to licensed vocational nurses and non-professional nursing personnel in providing direct patient care. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. Advance Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advance Life Support (or ENPC) required within 6 months of employment. TNCC within 18 months of employment. Employees must remain current in these certifications. Registered Nurse - PreOp/PACU

Responsibilities The Pre-op/PACU RN is responsible for the pre-operative and post-operative care of the surgical patient for the department. Multidimensional responsibilities include patient/family teaching and patient care throughout the pre-anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery phases of care. The registered nurse in Pre-op/PACU is involved in the assessment, nursing diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of perceived, potential or actual problems associated with anesthesia agents and surgical procedures.. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION Graduate of an accredited Nursing program. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE Minimum of one year acute care experience as an RN preferred. Recent working experience in pre-op/PACU preferred. Critical care background preferred. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse. Certified in Basic Life Support through the American Heart Association. ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of employment. Must possess a valid Texas Driver’s License. Responsibilities The Skilled Nursing Facility Director of Nursing (Director) is responsible for managing the operations of the skilled nursing facility. Collaborating with the AVP, the Director is responsible and accountable for initiating and guiding the delivery of safe, patient centered, quality services as provided by the staff. Knowledge of a patient centered care model, HHSC State regulations, Infection Control, OSHA Safety, staffing, maintenance standards and operations budgeting. Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to elevate staff training as well as learn new systems. Flexibility to assist with LTC QIPP Program and component metrics. Qualifications MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Bachelor Degree preferred or equivalent experience, education and training. MINIMUM WORK EXPERIENCE: 5 years minimum nursing home or skilled nursing facility experience required in a management position or higher. REQUIRED LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: Current licensure in Texas as a Registered Nurse.
