Job Description Responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses or disabilities. Monitors patients, administers medications, keeps records, consults with healthcare providers, educates patients and more. Principal Accountabilities Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports. Administers medications to patients and monitors them for side effects and reactions. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in patient conditions. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates patient nursing care plans by working with healthcare team members. Records patient vital signs and medical information. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required QUALIFICATIONS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS certification. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in nursing. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date. Master’s degree in nursing or related field. 1+ year of experience in Nursing or relevant area. ACLS certification. Varied (United States of America) Department: 100 - 605000 TG - 5 North - Surgery Position Description: The LPN provides nursing care for patients, cooperatively with ancillary nursing personnel and their patient team members in maintaining standards of care in the clinical setting utilizing the nursing process. Key Responsibilities: • Responds to emergencies and monitors patient conditions • Performs timely assessments and documents care accurately • Follows physician orders and nursing protocols • Coordinates with care team and maintains patient hygiene • Prioritizes tasks and ensures patient safety • Completes documentation and shift reports per standards Qualifications: 1. Current licensure by the Louisiana Practical Board of Nursing is required.
