Responsibilities Admissions Nurse (RN) Opportunity - Fuller Hospital is a 109-bed licensed, private psychiatric facility located in South Attleboro, Massachusetts providing inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services to residents of Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Inpatient units are designed to treat adults with general psychiatric or intellectual disabilities, as well as adolescents with general psychiatric issues. Patients with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders can be treated on most units. Fuller Hospital also provides a less intensive Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) to patients with psychiatric and co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders. This is a full time, day shift, 40 hour per week position working Monday - Friday from 9:00am to 5:30pm . In this role, the Clinical Coordinator provides clinical leadership to nursing staff, facilitates efficient patient care, and demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct patient care as needed. The Clinical Coordinator will support the growth and development of Surgical Services through onboarding, education, staff development, and certification initiatives, including the development of a Periop 101 course. This position supports all areas of Perioperative Services, including the Operating Room (OR), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy (Endo), and Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), while also functioning as a clinical lead/charge and providing support to the OR Manager. The position involves coordinating patient care activities, managing clinical staff, supporting staff development, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. The Clinical Coordinator collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize workflow, improve patient outcomes, and maintain a patient-centered approach to care. Strong leadership, organizational, educational, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role. Perioperative Coordinator (RN) Job Responsibilities: Provide clinical leadership and support to Perioperative Services, including the OR, PACU, Endoscopy, and ACU. Assist with the development, implementation, and ongoing education of a Periop 101 program to support staff competency and professional development. Support staff in obtaining and maintaining applicable certifications and competencies related to Perioperative Services. Ensure the delivery of quality care through the effective application of the nursing process. Stay aware of patients’ needs and communicate any changes to relevant team members. Apply critical thinking and establish priorities when making decisions regarding patient care and staffing. Delegate tasks fairly based on each team member's capabilities, ensuring all work is completed efficiently. Act as an advocate for both patients and staff. Collaborate with the Director/Designee to complete performance evaluations, follow up on staff achievements, and provide counseling and education as needed. Practice cost control measures to ensure efficient resource utilization. Keep the Director/Designee informed of all relevant matters and updates. Adjust assignments and priorities to accommodate changing or increased workloads. Support nursing policies and serve as a change agent when new procedures or policies need to be implemented. Perioperative Coordinator (RN) Education and Experience Requirements: Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. BSN and CNOR certified required. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut required. Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required. Manages work related disability cases and assists with return to work process. Functions as a liaison with the worker's compensation insurance carriers and the human resource department. Develops short and long term goals for the department designed to prevent employee accidents and infection. Provides a program of primary and secondary disease prevention, which includes immunization, medical surveillance, health hazard appraisals and early disease detection. Assures that pre-employment health requirements are met. Maintains compliance with all local, state and federal agencies with regard to employee health and safety. Maintains OSHA 300 log. Provides mandated education to all employees. Conducts safety inspections and is a member of the safety committee. Develops and maintains a confidential employee health medical record system. Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development by identifying learning need and pursuing continuing education. Actively participates in research and hospital committees.
