This is a Per Diem Tier 3 assignment covering a vacancy. There are no benefits/PL associated with this position. You will receive a $20/hr bonus pay on top of base pay. Assignment dates are subject to change at any time. Requirements Graduate of an accredited RN program State of CT licensed or license eligible RN BLS/ACLS required Neonatal Resuscitation Certification required EFM Certification - To be obtained within eighteen (18) months of hire Must complete AWOHNN classes - Intermediate then Advanced Fetal Monitoring Classes every two (2) years Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a time-oriented environment including exposure to all patient elements in blood borne pathogenics, physical requirement lifting and pulling patients, pushing stretches, standing and walking. Provides psychosocial support for patient, family and peers to promote healthier patient/family/team outcomes. Follows "Comfort Central" as the guiding principle in the assessment and treatment of pain, as outlined in the management of pain policy. Demonstrates knowledge of the age-related differences and needs of patients in appropriate, specific populations from neonate through adolescence and applies them to practice. Demonstrates cultural sensitivity in all interactions with patients/families. Demonstrates support for the mission, values and goals of the organization through behaviors that are consistent with the CCMC STANDARDS. Education and/or Experience Required: A minimum of ASN/ADN required upon hire; BSN preferred. If ASN/ADN, must acquire BSN within 3 years of hire License and/or Certification Required: Current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse licensure or Nursing Compact License required and maintained thereafter. BLS/CPR for Providers from American Heart Association, or American Red Cross, preferred upon hire and required within 1 month of hire. Must remain current at all times. Specialty licensure/certification may be required, as specified by department. Responsible for stocking supplies and maintenance of exam rooms, front desk, and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies needed. Responsible for completing order sheets to maintain supply inventory levels; regularly check expiration dates on supplies. Responsible for maintenance of medical records and scanning charts to patient files. Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming and outgoing postal correspondence Ensure reception is well maintained Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up. Perform opening and closing duties, which includes cashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building.
