We recently delivered intra-arterial Avastin directly into a malignant brain tumor, the first time this approach has ever been used. Here, courageous nurses administer chemotherapy, manage symptoms, support patients, and educate families, all while serving as the nerve center of extensive multidisciplinary teams. In this autonomous role as the Chemotherapy field nurse, float to the inpatient units to administer chemotherapy to patients. Responsibilities for RN Unit Manager: Assume full responsibility and accountability for resident care on the assigned nursing unit. Oversee and coordinate resident care to promote the highest possible level of physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning. Ensure timely and accurate incident reporting, with appropriate follow-up and communication to the Administrator and the Director of Nursing. Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the Director of Nursing. Assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies and procedures based on identified clinical and operational needs. Qualifications for RN Unit Manager: Must possess a current, unencumbered active license to practice as an LPN or RN in the state of New Jersey . Valid BLS Certification (CPR) required. A nursing degree from an accredited college or university is preferred. Minimum of five (5) years of nursing experience required. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in a nursing care center, hospital, or other healthcare setting required.
