With 2 trauma bays, 1 special procedures room and a dedicated resuscitation bay, we are equipped to handle the most critical situations. The Adult Emergency Department consists of 55 patient care rooms including a rapid assessment unit, six trauma/resuscitation suites and separate rooms for infection isolation, care of immune compromised patients, and psychiatric consultations. In the general care area, 45 rooms are fully equipped with critical care monitoring capabilities. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity . You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area. A staff nurse is a registered professional nurse (RN) who manages patient centered care that is outcome directed. Patient centered care principles and professional nursing practice standards provide the foundation for the nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care provided. The staff nurse assumes the primary responsibility and accountability for all patient care personally provided and that provided by those directly under her/his supervision. Essential Job Functions Utilizes appropriate assessment skills to determine patient needs. Specialties : Orthopedic & Podiatry Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) The OR RN provides nursing care and service during surgery cases. The OR RN will be responsible for positioning the patient, prepping the patient, and circulating the case. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for all age patients in operating room. Provides care within nursing standards of practice and the policies of the Center. Makes decisions regarding direct patient care needs and communicates appropriate information to physicians, patients, family members, and personnel in other departments as well as team members. May have additional responsibilities as designated by the Nurse Manager of the Operating Room and/or Director of Nursing, which include, but are not limited to, serving on committees, participating in quality improvement audits and projects. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing Active RN license in PA BLS, ACLS, or PALS required upon hire and required within one year of hiring date. Ability to Scrub and Circulate as needed. One year experience required intra-operative setting. Demonstrates clinical competency, leadership, and teaching capabilities. Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position.
