Job Overview Fairview has an immediate opening for a Medical Assistant to join our Cancer Care team at the Clinics and Surgery Center in Minneapolis, MN This is a 1.0 FTE ( 80 hours per two week pay period), benefits-eligible opening. This .80 fte position will be based at our Lino Lakes clinic with potential for coverage at our Roseville or Hugoclinics. This position will work in clinic Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday days (start time between 7:45am – 8:30am and end time between 4:15pm – 5pm). This position provides triage support for our clinic at the North Suburban Family Physicians clinics by using protocols embedded in the electronic medical record and a variety of resources including standing orders and protocols. This position also includes occasionally working with patients that have questions or needs once on-site . In addition, this role provides comprehensive assessments to establish and evaluate a plan of care and address changes in a patient’s condition, delegates nursing tasks when appropriate and provides supervision and monitoring of function or activity, creates and implements dynamic teaching plans based upon identified patient need and acts as a resource for other staff.
