Department Critical Care Job Summary Welcome to our Critical Care Nursing Department! Provides professional and skilled nursing care to patients using the “patient centered care” model of SMHCS (policy 126.054) in accordance with the ANA and AACN’s Standards of Professional Practice. We are a 62 bed unit with 3 areas of specialties that you can work in. Trauma ICU: Patient Population : patients with a primary traumatic diagnosis requiring complex nursing assessment skills and care including but not limited to: Any trauma related fractures or orthopedic abnormalities requiring surgical intervention or traction application, splinting, splinting, casts, or other skeletal immobilization.
