What you will do Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates the total nursing care of assigned patients on caseload on an intermittent visiting basis. Applies standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served. ( i.e. med surg, hospice, IV therapy). Develops the initial and ongoing comprehensive assessment of the clients needs, including Outcome and Assessment Information Set (OASIS) assessments at appropriate points. Supervises and delegates non-professional staff to ensure optimum patient care. Recognizes and responds to emergency situations. Evaluates own needs for support and uses identified systems and resources to meet patient care needs. Supervises LPN/LVN's, and Home Health Aides in providing services. Completes all required clinical documentation consistently per RHS standards which includes completing and "locking" patient notes and verbal orders, as well as completing certifications and recertification's after the department's multi-disciplinary team meetings. Completes required documentation no later than the last day of the month in order to provide timely billing. Implements/initiates a plan of care and revises when necessary, provides services and/or treatments requiring specialized nursing skill, councils the client and family in meeting nursing need, coordinates services, informs the physician and other staff of changes in the client's needs, and plans for the patient to be discharged from our services. Initiates appropriate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures and provides treatments and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes and stability of the patient. Participates in case conferences. Provides education to client and family. Participates in training and support of all team members, volunteers and students as needed. Overview The Nurse Manager is responsible for management of clinical services of the Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery (MIGS) Division, within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBGYN). The Nurse Manager works closely with the MIGS Division Director, MIGS Practice Manager, and Department Administrator to develop, implement, and maintain clinical programs that enhance the quality of care and achieve a high level of patient and provider satisfaction. The Nurse Manager is primarily responsible for the day-to-day clinical operations and oversight of the MIGS Division in both Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg. The Nurse Manager provides direction and manages professional employees and is accountable for the performance and results of a team within the framework of the OBGYN Department and EVMS Medical Group. Responsibilities Position will be actively involved in daily clinical support functions to ensure the delivery of quality healthcare. These functions will include hands on support and oversight within the MIGS clinical operations at the Norfolk, Virginia Beach and Williamsburg locations, to include nursing, provider, and patient support and coordination throughout the day. Responsible for the tracking, trending, and auditing of daily and monthly clinical performance related to operational metrics and quality measures, ensuring the team is working within their scope of practice and meeting all associated metrics.Provide direct supervision of assigned MIGS clinical staff. Responsible for talent identification, hiring, onboarding, and training for new team members. Responsible for coordination and distribution of clinical staff assignments and schedules. Demonstrate critical thinking skills needed for maintaining optimum clinical care and effective clinical workflow when faced with operational challenges such as provider and staffing shortages, emergency scheduling issues, electronic health record and telephone outages and other variables that frequently present within the clinical environment. Identify gaps in performance of staff and provide counseling, training or performance improvement plans as needed. Develop measurable metrics to ensure performance standards are being met. Overview This is a full time position for a medical assistant, providing outpatient care for our patients and assisting our physicians in all clinical areas of the practice. Responsibilities Triage of incoming patients by obtaining vital signs, chief complaint, reconcile medication list, reconcile allergies and prepare patient for the visit. Scan upcoming appointments and obtain all pertinent medical records and test relating to the office visit – ED records, CT/MRI reports, operative reports and consult report. Complete annual recertification for Blood Borne Pathogens, HIPAA Compliance Training, Respiratory FIT and IT Policy. Maintain current CPR certification and any updates relating to M.A. Certification. Job Description The Medication Technician @ First Colonial Inn administers resident medication or assist residents with self-administration of medication and coordinate treatments to residents. Provide assistance with activities of daily living while encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being. Must have a CNA / NA or PCA certification in addition to Med Tech certification ***$2000 Sign on Bonus*** Schedule: FT 2p-10p & PT shifts 6a-2p Pay Rate $18.75 *shift differential applies to 2nd shift $1.50/hr & 3rd shift $2.50/hr Paid Vacation/ Free Meal each shift What will I do every day? Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to Care Services Director, Resident Care Coordinator (RCC)/Dementia Care Coordinator (DCC), or appropriate physician Assist residents with simple requests as needed or find an appropriate associate to assist Learn resident preferences for opportunities to provide exemplary customer service, exceed resident expectations and enhance resident satisfaction Document and report changes of condition and use company forms for resident care documentation Provide medication set up and assistance Log in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concerns immediately Track all medications and re-order as needed Perform the following tasks with residents: track vital signs, weight, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection (if state allowed), ambulation, and general activities Follow all regulatory and company policies regarding the destruction of medications as identified by the physician, pharmacy, or Care Services Director Assist in documenting and removing medications that are discontinued by the resident’s physician Familiar with the meaning and usage of common medical abbreviations, symbols, and terms relative to the administration of medications Support, lead and participate in resident-centered wellness programs Work toward maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, and personal safety Assist resident assistants as needed and whenever primary tasks are completed Track supplies that are needed and communicate to Care Services Director or RCC/DCC Work as part of the team within your department and across the community Support open and honest communication with and between all associates Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which includes wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working Look for ways to reduce costs and create efficiencies on a daily basis Ensure regulatory compliance and report any issues or concerns immediately Support continuous improvement Adhere to all regulations, laws and Kisco standards, including the Associate Handbook Understand and support the community sales process Perform other related duties as required What will I need to be successful in this role? Medical Assistant

Overview This is a position for a Medical Assistant with the Department of Family Medicine. Under direct supervision this position will assist with clinical duties and provide direct patient care, including taking vitals, administering meds/treatments, assisting physicians, doing wound care, patient education, documentation, and coordinating care, labs, and follow-ups in a fast-paced office. Responsibilities Triage incoming patients by obtaining vital signs, following standing triage orders, reconcile medication list, reconcile allergies, make sure immunizations are up to date and prepare patient for the visit. Completes delegated tasks from the current and prior day i.e.: patient messages, prescription refills, lab results, referrals, home health agency requests, medication prior authorizations, patient forms, and physician follow-up. All tasks must be reviewed, addressed, and marked appropriately before the close of each business day. Assist physicians with examinations, minor surgeries, diagnostic procedures and treatments. Provide basic patient care and education as directed by provider and standing orders. Coordinates services with specialists i.e.: radiation oncology, pulmonology, endocrinology, nutritional counseling, or social services consultation. Documents all correspondence and interventions in the electronic health record. Maintains current inventory of medical and office supplies Cleans, sterilizes, and maintains used instrumentation per department protocol. Medical Assistants are required to fill in for other clinical staff during vacations and illness and perform other duties as assigned by providers, or supervisors at both sites. The successful candidate in this role shall respond to questions from patients, family members, faculty/residents, other health care providers in a timely and professional manner. Patient inquiries should be answered on the same day they are received, before leaving for the day. If patient is not home at the first attempt, a notation should be made in the medical record. All patient conversations must be documented in the electronic medical record. Participate in all staff meetings, education lectures and quality improvement activities. Follow EVMS Medical Group protocols related to infection control, environmental safety and patient confidentiality. Complete annual recertification for Blood Borne Pathogens, HIPAA Compliance Training, Respiratory FIT and IT Policy. Maintain current CPR certification and any updates relating to M.A. Certification. Qualifications Successful completion of a Medical assistant program (or equivalent military training) and certification (CMA, CCMA, or RMA) is required or ability to obtain certification within the first 90-days of employment. Must complete a Basic Life Support (BLS) class and re-certify every 2 years. Previous medical office experience with relevant functions in a doctor's office preferred. Must have some working knowledge of computers. Detail oriented, self-motivated, and possess excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
