This is a tem p o rary position for approximately six (6) months. The Medical Assistant (MA) performs clinical and administrative duties under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and within the scope of practice established by California law, organizational policies, and delegated clinical responsibilities. The MA supports safe, efficient, and patient-centered care by assisting with patient intake, clinical procedures, specimen collection, point-of-care testing, medication and immunization administration (when delegated and authorized), documentation, care coordination, and other assigned clinical support functions. The MA is responsible for maintaining competency in assigned duties and adhering to current organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Based on operational needs, the Medical Assistant may be required to float between clinic locations and travel to assigned sites.
