A bachelor’s degree in nursing, 1–2 years of acute care nursing experience in the specialty, and NRP certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire to the unit), is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC.
