Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Transfers: Current New York State employee with one or more years of permanent, contingent-permanent, or 55 b/c service in a position allocated to Grade 18 or above, and that is eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law to Registered Nurse 2 (Geriatric). Open Competitive HELPS qualifications: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State; and one year of post-licensure clinical nursing experience working with a geriatric population. Preferred Qualifications: The preferred candidate will have experience in a long-term care Facility. The posted salary range includes the statutory hiring rate at step 4 and job rate for PS&T Grade 20, a Geographic Pay Differential of $35,000, and downstate adjustment of $4,150. Additional compensation may apply based on shift assignment. 7% shift differential for evening shift; 10% shift differential for night shift. Inconvenience pay program of $825 per year will be paid to employees who work four (4) hours or more between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Hours worked between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on an overtime basis are not included for Inconvenience Pay.
