Reinforce provider-directed education related to eye health, medications, contact lens care, treatment plans, and follow-up appointments. Support referrals, scheduling, follow-up care, patient communication, and other clinical coordination activities. Maintain clean, organized, and properly stocked examination rooms and equipment while following infection prevention and patient safety standards. Promote a positive patient experience by supporting efficient patient flow and providing compassionate, culturally responsive care. Participate in quality improvement, compliance, and team initiatives that support the delivery of high-quality optometry services. Qualifications Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program. At least one year of Medical Assistant experience in an optometry setting required. Experience performing optometric pre-testing, including visual acuity, visual fields, tonometry, and lensometry, strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred. Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain certification prior to hire. Experience working with patients across the lifespan, including children, preferred. Overview Monterey Park Hospital, a 101-acute care facility located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County, is seeking a Registered Nurse for our ICU Unit . This is a full time, 12-hour night shift position reporting to the Director of Critical Care Services. Responsibilities The Registered Nurse provides care, treatment, counseling, and health education to hospitalized patients. The RN is responsible for planning and coordinating care from admission through post-discharge. This planning and coordination includes meeting and exceeding compliance with core measures, contributing to reduction in LOS, active participation with all aspects of quality, safety, and performance improvement activities, and collaboration with all the members of the multidisciplinary team in providing outstanding customer service to patients, family members, physicians, and the public.
