Position Summary : We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated RN to join our team as the Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADNS) and Infection Control Nurse. This dual-role position combines leadership in nursing administration and infection prevention supporting the facility’s commitment to providing high-quality care in compliance with state and federal guidelines. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and passionate about fostering a safe, healthy environment for both residents and staff. Key Responsibilities : Infection Control Duties Oversee the facility’s infection prevention and control program, ensuring adherence to protocols and compliance with all regulatory standards. Monitor and report infection data, conduct routine infection surveillance, and implement preventive measures in collaboration with the clinical team. Provide ongoing infection control education to staff, including training on current protocols, PPE usage, and best practices. Conduct audits and review data to identify trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Wound Care Duties Manage and monitor all aspects of wound care for residents, including assessments, treatments, and documentation. Develop individualized wound care plans, working closely with the clinical team to ensure effective, evidence-based treatment and prevention of wounds. Train and educate nursing staff on wound care best practices, protocols, and preventive care to improve outcomes. Conduct regular audits of wound care documentation and processes to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance. Assistant Director of Nursing (ADNS) Duties Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in daily clinical operations and overall management of the nursing team. Act as a resource for nursing staff, offering guidance, training, and support in clinical practices and resident care. Provide leadership in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating quality assurance initiatives. Serve as acting DNS in the absence of the DNS to ensure continuity of care and leadership. Qualifications : Current, unrestricted RN license in Connecticut. Minimum of 3 years of experience in long-term care, with a strong background in infection control, wound care, and/or nursing leadership. Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems, infection control, and wound care documentation software. Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with a detail-oriented and proactive approach to problem-solving. Certification in Infection Prevention and Control (CIC) and/or Wound Care (WCC) preferred, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire. Job Description RN WEEKEND WARRIORS Registered Nurse Working Supervisor Rate: $60/ hour includes shift differentials Available Shifts: 7am-7pm Every Saturday and Sunday = 24 hr/ weekly The RN Nurse Supervisor plans, controls and executes the nursing services required by the residents. Supervises the day-to-day nursing activities of the facility in accordance with local, state, and federal requirements, to ensure that the residents receive the highest quality of care at all times. Together with the Nursing Director, the RN Registered Nurse Supervisor plans the operation of nursing services and the provision of emergency support requirements for tour of duty. Plans the coordination of nursing activities in line with medical needs, physician instructions and the general nursing care plan. Coordinates the activities of charge nurses to ensure proper care of residents. In conjunction with medical staff, adjusts the care plan to meet emergency medical needs. In the absence of superiors, the RN Registered Nurse Supervisor assumes total responsibility for operating decisions required by the circumstances of the moment. Takes responsibility for management of emergency situations as the need develops. Ensures presence of appropriate relief staff to assume responsibility prior to leaving the facility. Ensures notification of resident’s personal physician if there is a significant change in the condition of the resident or if the resident requires immediate medical care. Qualifications: The RN Registered Nurse Supervisor must hold a current state RN license and be a Registered Nurse in good standing. Must have previous experience in a supervisory capacity. Attention to detail, good follow through skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks. The RN Registered Nurse Supervisor demonstrates cooperation in assisting others and ability to work as a team. Long term care experience preferred. Must be knowledgeable of general rehabilitative and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations and guidelines governing long term care. Skilled Nursing Facility in a Beautiful Setting Seeking CNAs to Care for Our Residents We are looking for skilled CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) to join our facility's compassionate care-giving team. We have all shifts available, PT & FT. The CNA will interact directly with residents, providing comfort and care, monitoring their vital signs and assisting with daily living needs. We are searching for dedicated, compassionate and energetic individuals to be a vital link between our patients and the nurses and other facility staff. Salary is commensurate with experience. Tasks: Assist with daily living activities. This includes delivering meals to patients, turning and ambulating patients Help patients with personal hygiene. Provide residents with bathing, shampoos and showers Check vital signs and record daily information in the patient's chart Assist the nurses and other staff as needed Adhere to professional standards, follow policies and procedures and abide by federal, state and local requirements, as well as Joint Commission standards Skills and Requirements: High School diploma or GED Completion of a state-approved CNA certification training course Basic computer skills Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate sensitive information with empathy ("bedside manner") High tolerance for working under pressure and handling critical situations with a cool head Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
