Job Summary Urgent care Advanced Practitioners (Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner) provide a wide variety of clinical services including treatment of acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, cuts, sprains and minor infections. Functioning in lieu of or alongside of a physician, it is essential for an urgent care Advanced Practitioner to have excellent assessment skills in order to recognize more serious conditions and direct the patient to the emergency room for advanced care when necessary. Job Requirements Education Bachelor's Degree required for Physician Assistants Master's Degree required for Nurse Practitioners Work Experience One (1) year of full-time experience in Emergency Medicine or One (1) year of Urgent Care setting experience required . Will consider 2 years of Family Medicine experience. What We're Looking For: · Current Connecticut Registered Nurse license in good standing. · Nursing leadership experience in skilled nursing or long-term care strongly preferred. · Experience as an ADNS, Nurse Manager, Unit Manager, RN Supervisor, Staff Development/Infection Prevention nurse, or similar nursing leadership position encouraged. · Knowledge of long-term care regulations and clinical standards. · Strong leadership, communication, organization, and clinical judgment. · A leader who is visible, engaged, accountable, and comfortable developing others. · Most importantly, someone who is ready to grow into the Director of Nursing role and wants the mentorship and opportunity to do it successfully.
