JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Graduate of an accredited nursing program. Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board. Maintains BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (ACLS, PALS within 6 months of hire, TNCC within 1 year of hire). Experience One year of emergency department nursing preferred. In addition, they treat patients that may be confused, irrational, agitated, and/or uncooperative. JOB SUMMARY ED nurses care for people who are sick, injured, convalescent, or disabled. Under general supervision, they deliver care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with established philosophy. The most important responsibility for an emergency nurse is understanding triage, which is a method of prioritizing injuries based on medical need. An emergency nurse must have the ability to make quick and accurate assessments about incoming patients, including both physical and mental health conditions. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. ED Nurses provide care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring emergency attention and must be able to recognize and effectively treat life-threatening conditions.

JOB REQUIREMENTS Education Must possess a current Arkansas Registered Nurse license. CPR Certification required. Experience Minimum of one year nursing experience with some home health experience preferred. Must possess good physical assessment skills and efficiency in nursing skills is a must. Requires good communication skills, have professional and courteous attitude. Must be conscientious and self-assured enough to make responsible judgement calls. Must be knowledgeable of Hospital and Home Health Policies and Procedures. Willing to accept responsibilities. Aware of self strengths and weaknesses. Must uphold patient confidentiality. JOB SUMMARY The function of this position is to be responsible for direct and indirect patient care while representing the Hospital and Home Health Agency in a professional manner. Must possess a good working knowledge of the nursing process. Will supervise the staff members as necessary and assist Director of Home Health with staff orientation. Teach, supervise, and council patient and care givers in needs unique to each patient. Assist in planning and implementing policies of the Hospital and Home Health Agency. Must posses a valid Drivers License and current care insurance.
