Position Summary: Directs, supervises, and coordinates nursing staff to assure high quality, optimum patient care. Acute Care Services is seeking highly skilled Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioners (AGACNPs) and Physician Assistants with a strong clinical background in medical-surgical, Neuro ICU, critical care, and surgical settings. Job Description We are searching for a Registered Nurse for our 15WT Med/Surg Unit – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. 15 WT is a 36-bed med/surge unit; which provides care for pediatric patients under PHM (Pediatric Hospital Medicine). Patients under the care of PHM are typically healthy patients that require hospitalization usually due to an acute event, i.e. status asthmaticus, cellulitis, bronchiolitis. Patient age ranges from a few days old to teenagers and young adults. Developmental ages vary by patient. Complex care patients (multiple comorbidities) and behavioral health patients are other patient populations that are under the PHM service. Our patient length-of-stay is around 2.5 days. Reporting directly to the Executive Director or Administrator, you will oversee patient care activities to ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant hospice services. This leadership role involves managing clinical operations, coordinating care, and developing staff to uphold the highest standards of patient care and regulatory compliance.
