Scrub and/or circulate in General surgeries , demonstrating expertise and ensuring patient safety. Develop a core curriculum for the service line in conjunction with the clinical educator and system education teams, overseeing new staff orientation and ongoing education for all team members. Manage team member schedules and time cards. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs and ensure they meet the needs of the service line. Act as a role model and resource for staff, embodying the mission and vision of Indiana University Health in all aspects of patient care and unit operations. Qualifications: Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN). Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred. Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies. 2+ years of OR (Operating Room) or GI procedural experience is strongly preferred.
