Job Overview The Endoscopy RN is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patients undergoing GI procedures or pulmonary studies at the University of Minnesota Medical Center East Bank. These procedures are conducted in a variety of locations within the perioperative setting and may be performed with or without sedation/anesthesia. The RN role includes patient procedural prep and intra-procedure support as well as maintenance of this specific service line’s clinical operations (ex: room turnover, supply and equipment checks). The Endoscopy RN collaborates with MDs, RNs, Advanced Practice Providers, schedulers, and inpatient staff to coordinate the care of the patient in a fast-paced environment.
