Provides set-up of examination room and instruments in accordance with proper sterilization techniques established by hospital and infection control policies. Checks expiration dates on all medications and medical supplies disposing appropriately as per institution policy. 7. Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following standards and procedures; complies with legal regulations. 8. You will work in a growing, specialized area of the nursing field outside the walls of a hospital setting As a Home Infusion Registered Nurse you will provide a broad range of infusion therapies in out patients’ homes while: Compassionately taking care of patients in order to allow them to recover in the comfort of their own home by using your clinical IV capabilities and personal touch. Skillfully providing one-on-one home infusion nursing care visits and patient education in accordance with the physician’s plan of treatment. Assessing the patient’s condition and response to therapy, taking action as needed to facilitate achievement of treatment goals. Establishing trust and building therapeutically effective relationships with our clients and their families. Required Qualifications: Active and unrestricted registered nurse with current license in state of NY Two (2)+ years of experience working as an RN in a Critical Care setting that contributes to proficiency in infusion therapy (such as medical surgical unit, ED, ICU, post-anesthesia care, or similar setting) Experience with lab draws, IV infusions, and reconstitution of medications Strong experience with working with a variety of pumps (CAAD, curling, etc) & troubleshooting issues that may arise Possess a valid and current driver’s license and auto insurance/registration Ability to handle specialty cases like IGG, IVIG, Solumedrol, etc. Have and maintain current CPR / BLS certification Knowledge of HIPAA patient privacy and data security requirements; OSHA employee protection regulations Hold current Malpractice Insurance Have experience with Microsoft Office to document and track patient care activity About Us: Founded in 2008, UniversaCare is a fully licensed and growing Home Care Agency serving the NY Metropolitan area and is continually expanding throughout the Northeast.
