Maintains adequate medical supply and medication inventory. Schedules surgeries or referrals as ordered, attain prior authorizations for surgeries when needed, provides patient education and instruction information. Familiar with policies in Policystat, including nursing, registration and disaster policies. Performs other duties as assigned by the Office Manager.

Review and document on care plans and education at least once every shift and as necessary. Develop patient teaching and discharge plan as necessary. Collaborates with other health team members in planning and providing care. IMPLEMENTATION: Delegates care to team members based on complexity, staff education and competency, state regulations and policy and procedure. Provides safe and comprehensive age-appropriate nursing care according to state regulations and hospital policy and procedure. Documents patient assessment findings, physical/psychosocial responses to nursing intervention and progress toward problem resolution.
