Measure, document, and report vital signs and other clinical observations. Prepare patients and examination rooms for provider visits. Assist providers during examinations, treatments, and in-office procedures. Explain provider instructions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care to patients as directed. Provide compassionate, professional service that promotes a positive patient experience. Clinical Procedures: Administer oral and injectable medications, immunizations, and treatments as directed by the provider and permitted by state regulations. Assist with wound care, dressing changes, bandaging, irrigation of eyes and ears, and other clinical procedures. Initiate and monitor IV infusions when appropriately trained and permitted by state regulations. Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for laboratory testing. Perform CLIA-waived laboratory testing in accordance with established procedures.
