Job Summary The Emergency Services (ES) Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients with perceived, actual or potential, sudden or urgent, physical or psychosocial problems that are primarily episodic or acute and that occur in a variety of settings. Minimum Experience Requirement: All (1) newly graduated nurses, (2) re-entry nurses, and (3) nurses new to the U.S. healthcare system must satisfactorily complete the Emanate Health R.N. New Grad Program. One (1) year clinical experience is preferred. Emergency or Critical Care nursing experience preferred. For those with no prior emergency room experience, the Basic ER Nursing Course is to be completed within 6 months of hire. Excellent customer service skills required. Minimum License Requirement: Current RN license in the State of California. BLS certification required. ACLS and PALS Certification required within 3 months of hire. The Surgical Technologist assumes responsibility and accountability for the preparation of operating rooms for surgery, using appropriate techniques, performs a variety of technical duties to assist patients with surgery, maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives and safety standards. The Surgical Tech is responsible for pulling cases completely and providing all equipment for the cases. Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and follows infection control policies. Maintains aseptic techniques, actively monitors situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique. Assists in maintaining correct count of instruments, sutures and sponges. Provides comfort and support for pre-operative patients by demonstrating sensitivity to patients care and privacy. Identifies and cares for specimens. Notifies appropriate personnel of equipment malfunctions and repairs as needed. Assists in clearing OR suites. May handle human blood and other potentially infectious and/or hazardous materials, harmful elements.
