Description The Nurse Manager I is responsible for the management of nursing practice and operations on a designated unit/service. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of: clinical nursing practice, staff recruitment, retention, labor relations, supply chain and budget, staffing, employee performance evaluation, quality improvement, staff education, medical records, internal and external regulatory and survey requirements. Description The Assistant Nurse Manager of Palliative Care (Oncology) is a Registered Professional Nurse with broad knowledge and skills who assumes the role of a clinical leader in the daily functioning of the unit and oversight of quality patient care delivery, in conjunction with, or in the absence of, the Nurse Manager. Leads nursing practice using the tenets of the Professional Practice Model of Relationship Centered Care and the Care Delivery Model of Modified Primary Nursing for the promotion of the patient experience. 2. Participates in the evaluation of nursing staff performance and mentors, coaches, counsels and disciplines staff as needed. 9. Monitors availability and maintenance of nursing equipment and supplies. 10. Participates in regular staff meetings to ensure communication with staff about progress, changes and compliance with all hospital policies and procedures. 11. Encourages, recognizes and rewards staff participation in quality and safety initiatives, compliance and successes. 12. Facilitates organizational change initiatives by using effective strategies. 13. Job Description The Nursing Department in the Manhattan campus is seeking full time Registered Nurses (RN) on night shift to join our team! Description Job Title - Nurse Practitioner - Cardiothoracic - Mount Sinai Hospital - Full Time - Night A nurse practitioner (NP) as described in Title VIII, Article 139 section 6910 of the New York Education Law is a RN who has earned a separate certification as an NP through advanced clinical nursing education in a distinct specialty area of practice.
