We are looking for a candidate to be available Monday-Friday, schedule subject to changed based on surgical schedule and flow of day. Candidate needs to be available for some early mornings and later evenings. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings required. Job Summary: The RN has the responsibility to plan, direct organize, coordinate and implement all nursing care services for the pre or post-surgical patients in a manner suitable to accepted standards of care. He / she ensures the highest quality and safe delivery of patient care while maintaining compliance with professional nursing, JCAHO, and all Federal and State standards of care. Appropriately documents findings relevant to the imaging procedures in Technologist Notes. Prepares the patient for imaging procedures, providing education and instructions to obtain desired results, gaining cooperation, and minimizing the patient’s anxiety. Appropriately operates imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures. Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Appropriately immobilizes patients as required for the examination. Job Summary and Responsibilities As a National Internal Traveler RN, you will be a direct clinical registered nurse providing independent patient care within your scope of practice. Daily, you will utilize your advanced patient care skills, continuously enhancing your nursing knowledge, skills, and behaviors through education and involvement beyond basic job requirements. Assesses, plans, and implements nursing care while ensuring patient comfort. Anticipates, identifies, and responds to informational and emotional needs of patients and families. Guides and directs healthcare personnel (i.e., Patient Care Technicians) in caring for patients. Maintains knowledge of equipment setup, maintenance, and use (i.e., IV pumps, monitoring equipment, and drainage devices) Utilizes safeguards such as IV pump drug library and monitor alarms with necessary. Initiates emergency support measures (i.e., cardiopulmonary resuscitation, protecting patient from injury). Assists with patient care duties/tasks (i.e., emptying drainage devices, ambulating, and hygiene).
