Implements quality control standards. Assists with procuring medical records. Ensures patient records and relevant documents filed in the record have appropriate patient identification. Adds new medications to patient record in EMR system. Assemble records according to BIDHC/APG policy and handle requests for patient information according to established guidelines. Required Qualifications: High School diploma or GED required. Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required. 1-3 years related work experience required. Position Summary/ Department Summary: Nurse Practitioner, Lung Transplant Program Key Responsibilities: Sole NP in the lung program, providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient health care services to lung transplant patients throughout the entire spectrum of care from pre-transplant education, evaluation and management to transplant and follow up care. Train and work alongside the advanced cardiac therapies APRNs for planned time off cross coverage in heart transplant program. Closely monitoring immunosuppressive therapy and collaboratively instituting an appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic plan when there are signs of rejection and infection.
