Responsibilities Patient Care 1. Benefits to working at the Phoenix Center: Competitive salary Medical, dental, and vision benefits 401K retirement plan Paid time off Differential pay Referral bonus Service awards Transportation service Responsibilities as a Registered Nurse: Be able to handle complexity of a Pediatrics unit Ability to care for patients with NGT, GT, Tracheostomy, wound care, and temperature instability Be able to care for patients on a ventilator machine Play an active role in direct resident assessment and care Supervise and coordinate nursing personnel in providing direct resident care in adherence to State and Federal regulations Dispense medication and perform treatments in accordance with Phoenix Center policies and procedures Formulate individualized nursing care plans utilizing the nursing process Assess each resident daily and implement a change in the course of action as needed Assist the physician on rounds and ensure that pertinent information is communicated to and from him/her and orders are taken correctly Participate in the training and supervision of nursing personnel Assists with implementation of facility’s Quality Improvement Program Assume responsibility for the identification of potential safety hazards and for the identification of non-compliance with facility guidelines Maintain accurate resident care records and documents Attend and participate in the resident care meetings, staff meetings, and in-services Take an active role in teaching and guidance to residents, families, and staff Assure that each resident’s attending physician and family, or responsible party are promptly notified of any significant change in the resident’s health condition Effectively utilize the general principles of leadership and supervision Manage conflict through effective problem-solving and communication skills Act calmly and efficiently in handling emergency situations Requirements for a Registered Nurse: Completion of an accredited school of practical nursing Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey This position is a Union position.
