Description Clinic RN – Float Pool The Float Pool Clinic RN travels to major campuses including Issaquah, Edmonds, Cherry Hill, First Hill, Ballard, and surrounding satellite clinics to provide flexible staffing support across Providence Swedish. This role supports multiple care teams within Primary Care, Pediatrics, Specialty Care, and Women’s Health while covering a variety of clinic schedules, including weekdays and weekends. Team members in this role receive premium travel pay of $2.50 per hour in addition to their base rate . The Charge Nurse assists the Manager/Director in coordinating unit activities which assure safe and clinically effective patient care. The Charge Nurse supports and directs staff members in providing compassionate care and services to patients and families from diverse ethnic and social groups. Independent decision-making is expected in the execution of routine duties. Position Details: Coordinate patient care by shift and department. Supervision and assessment of clinical practice. Direct and delegate to other team members. Coach for performance to achieve individual and organizational goals; including orientation, competencies and evaluations. Develop the departmental team and collaborative relationships to achieve expected outcomes. Serve as a clinical and resource expert for the department. Articulate shift/team operational issues to management as appropriate. Appropriate stewardship of resources. Perform hands on CPR at least 20 mins using 100-125 lbs. of force (National Assoc. of EMS Physicians and AHA) Frequency should be seldom or occasionally. Ability to move around area with frequent sitting. Bending/ stooping/ squatting/ reaching/ kneeling frequently. Lifting (non-patient) up to 20 lbs. occasionally and 5 lbs. frequently. Environmental Conditions Exposure to biohazard, body fluids and airborne particles. Must be able to complete tasks in a noisy environment.
