What You’ll Do As a Surgical Technologist Intern, you will: Prepare operating rooms for upcoming surgeries Sterilize instruments and ensure equipment readiness Maintain a sterile field and safe surgical environment Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies Prepare patients for procedures Participate as an active member of the surgical team Support intra-operative temperature regulation measures Follow sharps safety protocols Handle and label specimens accurately Complete required documentation within scope of practice Gain familiarity with pharmacologic agents used in the sterile field Throughout your internship, you’ll progressively build competency in the clinical skills required for certification and future promotion.
